Welcome aboard

The great success that Fokker achieved with its F27 model encouraged the Dutch manufacturer to go one step further. In this way, in Apr1962 the new project was announced: The F28 Fellowship.
On the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the prototype´s first flight, -May 9, 1967-, we glad to invite you to the launch of this new Blog fokkerfellowship28.blogspot.com, dedicated absolutely to the Fellowship.
We invite all those who are passionate about this small Dutch colossus to share their experiences, photographs, or information in this space. The site is under development, and we hope all readers will like it.
Welcome aboard

Toumaï Air Tchad was the flag carrier airline of Chad, established in 2004 and based at N'Djamena International Airport, offering domestic and international flights across Africa. The company was created to revitalize national transportation. Initially, it operated with leased aircraft.

In early January 2006, it added its first Fokker F-28, TT-EAS - msn. 11204 -. This was a Mk.4000 version, which was followed, the next month, by a second leased unit from Air Leasing Cameroon (TJ-ALD msn. 11173). The African company stated that it opted for the Fellowship mainly because of its low operating cost and its ability to operate at airports with shorter runways.

Unfortunately, the airline's trajectory faced security issues, leading to the suspension of international flights in July 2012. Although there were attempts to revive it and renew its fleet as Tchadia Airlines with certifications in later years, regular operations were not resumed consistently. The last operational report for its only Fellowship dates back to 2018. When on July 23, 2018, he took a flight from Abéché to N'Djamena operated by Air Cameroon for the United Nations Humanitarian Service (UNHAS).
