Welcome aboard

The great success that Fokker achieved with its F27 model encouraged the Dutch manufacturer to go one step further. In this way, in Apr1962 the new project was announced: The F28 Fellowship.
On the occasion of the 57th anniversary of the prototype´s first flight, -May 9, 1967-, we glad to invite you to the launch of this new Blog fokkerfellowship28.blogspot.com, dedicated absolutely to the Fellowship.
We invite all those who are passionate about this small Dutch colossus to share their experiences, photographs, or information in this space. The site is under development, and we hope all readers will like it.
Welcome aboard

F-28 Mk. 2000

Dimensions: The F.28 fuselage was designed to be stretched and on April 28th 1971, following conversion, the F.28 prototype made its first flight in stretched Mark 2000 form. The Mark 2000 features a 7ft 3in stretch in two plugs forward and aft of the wing, increasing maximum seating to 79.

Performance: The despite the stretch, the weights on the Mk. 2000 remained the same as the 1000, so payload/range was reduced to around 700nm.

Timetable: The Mark 2000 was certificated on August 30th 1972. Ghana Airways took delivery of the first aircraft on October 19th 1972 (leased from Fokker), which was bought off lease in December. Only 10 Mk. 2000s were delivered, the last of which took place on November 4th 1976. Eight Mk 2000s remained in service at January 1st 1993.
