A Special Flight

 At Zapala airport (APZ).

The Argentine Air Force's Fokker F-28 Mk.1000C TC-53 (CN. 11020) remains active, carrying out several flights these days.

A special flight took place on September 26, 2025, when it took off from El Palomar bound for Zapala (APZ) – San Carlos de Bariloche (BRC), finally landing in El Calafate (FTE). The aircraft transported Argentine Army troops who will conduct an operation in the El Calafate area, in the south of Argentina.

Argentine Air Force Day Parade

 

On August 10, 2025, the Argentine Air Force Day parade was held at Morón Military Air Base, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. The parade commemorated the 113th anniversary.

Among the aircraft present at the air parade was the Fokker F-28 Mk.1000C TC-53 (cn. 11020).

The aircraft took off from El Palomar Military Air Base, where many fans were awaiting the departure of the Fellowship. Many said it was the highlight of the parade! Well done, F-28!

 

Affectionately nicknamed "Highlander"—in reference to the character in the famous film- Tango Charlie 53 continued its usual operations the following day, flying the El Palomar Air Base (EPA) – Paraná (PRA) – Mendoza (MDZ) – El Palomar Air Base route.

On August 13, 2025, the plane flew from El Palomar Air Base (EPA) to Neuquén (NQN). From there, it departed for Loncopué (LCP) and then returned to NQN, returning to EPA later.

I'm in a hurry! There's no time to waste!

 

On Thursday, June 19, 2025, the tireless Fokker F-28 Mk.1000C TC-53 (cn. 11020) of the Air Force performed another regular passenger service for "Líneas Aéreas del Estado" (LADE). This was flight 5U502, which departed from Buenos Aires - Jorge Newbery Airport - and, after making stops in Mar del Plata and Bahía Blanca, landed in San Carlos de Bariloche. The return flight was 5U503, which departed from Bariloche with Aeroparque as its final destination and intermediate stops in Bahía Blanca and Mar del Plata.

Another One

 

 Final destination, Comodoro Rivadavia, Argentina.

Our beloved Fellowship never ceases to amaze us. Yesterday, June 10, 2025, the Fokker F-28 Mk.1000C TC-53 (cn. 11020) completed another LADE (Líneas Aéreas del Estado) passenger flight!

It was service 5U504, departing from Jorge Newbery Airport in Buenos Aires with a final destination of Comodoro Rivadavia and intermediate stops in Mar del Plata and Bahía Blanca.

The return flight was made on flight 5U505, Comodoro Rivadavia (CRD) – Bahía Blanca (BHI) – Mar del Plata (MDQ) – Aeroparque/Buenos Aires (AEP).

These are undoubtedly the last passenger flights on a Fokker F-28 in the world!

We must highlight both the nobility of the aircraft and the skills of the Argentine technicians, who make it possible for the Fellowship to continue flying!.
