In the airline industry it is common to see cases of planes not taken by airlines. They were ready to be delivered and even painted in the colors of the new operators, but for some reason they were not delivered. On other occasions, manufacturers promote their products and try to capture the interest of potential customers, even making artistic images of the airplanes in the colors of future buyers. The Fokker F-28 was no exception to these practices.
For the spotter environment, those not delivered, or not taken are called with the abbreviation "ntu".
In 1995, the F-28 Mk.1018 VH-FKA (cn 11021) that had just finished operating for Ansett Australia was ready to fly with the chilean company LADECO. Finally it was not incorporated into the fleet, at that time the airline opted in favor of BAC One Elevens.
There must have been some chance that it were replaced by F-28s Fellowship?
